Boxer Nick Kisner in the news again!

Club One's own Nick Kisner has made the news again---the front page of yesterday's Baltimore Sun, no less! For those of you who haven't met Nick, he is a 16 year old boxer who trains at Club One Fitness and has not lost a fight in years. He has won the National Silver Gloves title, the National Junior Olympics, National Golden Gloves and the Ringside World Championship in the Super Heavyweight division. Most evenings, you may see him in the ring being trained by his dad, Danny Kisner. Check out the article and find out more about Nick!

Sam's Gravatar Pretty nifty! Though you may want to check the link; I had to remove a couple extraneous characters from the URL to get to the article.

Sam's Gravatar Here's a topic I'd like to see you address: young people, boxing and health. My son, also named Nicholas, is too young to train at Club One Fitness (he's seven), but he's interested. My wife is not too keen on the idea, because she's worried about him getting hurt. A recent study suggests there's no connection between long-term brain damage and amateur boxing, but it would be nice to see all the pros and cons pulled together in terms of youth boxing.
