Severna Park Yoga at Club One Fitness

Yoga has started again this Fall at Club One Fitness. Most people really do not know what yoga is and think it is just stretching. Yoga is actually more about developing strength and flexibility through the body through a series of poses. It strives to unite mind, body, and spirit, as trite as that may sound to some. I'm as skeptical as they come on this kind of stuff but, I'll tell you, you really do feel like you got a great workout afterwars while feeling more, for lack of a better phase, inner peace.

Yoga means 'union' in Sanskrit, the ancient language of India, which is where yoga began. For a great explanation of what yoga involves, click here.

Yoga at Club One Fitness is Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. For those of you who read up on yoga, our style of yoga is "Hatha" and it is taught by our wonderful new instructor, Heterssa. Herterssa has taught yoga for many years and would be more than happy to help you with the poses and modifications for beginners.
